26.06.2018 - Head of JU (Young Union) Paul Ziemiak (MdB – Member of German Parliament) visits the successful Luthardt project in Kurdistan (Iraq)

Together with Sven Luthardt, Managing Partner of Luthardt GmbH, Paul Ziemiak (MdB) made a visit at Kurdistan to peer Luthardt´s training project for the regional Ministry of Electricity in Kurdistan (Iraq).

Within the framework of a consortium together with the consulting company Roland Berger Luthardt GmbH held comprehensive trainings in Kurdistan and Germany for more than 1.200 employees of the Kurdish Ministry of Electricity over a period of 15 months.

In addition to the trainings Luthardt also equipped test and training centers in Northern Iraq single-handedly.

“I am proud that a German consortium established a training center in Erbil in order to train the Kurdish Ministry of Electricity and therefore leads the Iraq into a solid future as respects the Iraqi energy policy”, that is how Paul Ziemiak commented the project.

“The intention of our project was to pass on expertise, technical skills and know-how in order to close the existing gap between the status quo of power supply in the Autonomous Region Kurdistan and the best available technologies”, so Sven Luthardt.

This project supported by the United Nations contributes significantly the sustainable rehabilitation of an efficient and profitable energy system state-of-the-art in terms to help people help themselves.
